Wallangarra State School is a 3-teacher school with students ranging from Prep through to year 6. Students are taught in multi-age classes—Prep, years 1/2, years 3 to 6. There is also a 0.4 teacher who works at the school two days each week.
The parents, children and staff are proud of their school and are working together to provide quality education for all. Education Queensland’s Statement of Purpose is 'Achieving the best educational outcomes for all students in our schools'.
At Wallangarra State School, we believe our students have access to the best possible education:
- Our caring staff are dedicated, highly-trained professionals who are responsive to individual children’s needs.
- Our students are responsible, motivated and eager to learn and widen their educational experiences.
- Our parent community is keen to support the school in a multitude of ways. The Parents and Citizens’ Association is very supportive of the school and assist it both financially and directly through a hands-on involvement in school activities.
- Our resources are fantastic - we boast a computer ratio of two students per computer, a brilliant library and quality resources to support all of the key learning areas.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to you and your family and look forward to forming a productive partnership with you to further your child’s academic, physical and social growth.
We feel privileged that you have chosen Wallangarra State School as the place of learning for your child.
Kind regards,
Scott Koch
